We believe the most critical time is the moment a customer walks in the door. Whether it’s the movie theater, restaurant or retail shop, opinions are formed either consciously or subconsciously the moment they enter. If your customer starts with a positive image or experience when they walk in, momentum builds more easily. They want to like more. If their impression begins as ho-hum, or as a negative, it’s much harder to impress them as they walk through your store. Greeting a customer is one of the best ways to connect – digitally. It’s not intrusive, does require a handshake or even a “hello”. But if you provide a greeting, or useful information when they walk in, your customer, and you, will be off to a good start.
